The city ranks just behind Dubai and Abu Dhabi (both in the UAE), Málaga (Spain), and Miami (USA), making it the second highest-ranking European city, only trailing Málaga and surpassing cities like Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca (both in Spain). The Algarve region (Portugal) also stands out, securing 9th place in the index.
